Beverage & Bottling

Bottled Water Production Line

Production line planning, equipment selection and sourcing for bottled and sachet water production, covering water treatment, bottle blowing, filling, capping and labelling. Rolangear prepares a project-specific equipment configuration and technical proposal.

Bottled Water Production Line

Qué puede producir

  • Bottled drinking water
  • Sachet water
  • Large-format water containers

A drinking water plant has two distinct halves: water treatment, which brings the source water to potable standard, and the bottling line, which forms, fills, caps and labels the container. The treatment stage is determined by your source water and by local regulatory requirements, which is why a water project is always specified around the water available at the site.

The packaging format is the second major decision. Bottled water in PET requires blow moulding, filling, capping and labelling. Sachet water uses a filling and sealing machine and a very different capital profile. The two serve different markets and require different lines.

Rolangear can prepare a project-specific equipment configuration for a drinking water plant. This covers process planning, specification of the treatment and bottling equipment, equipment sourcing, integration into a working line, and a written technical proposal setting out the configuration and scope. Installation, commissioning, operator training and after-sales support are available as part of the project.

Rolangear supplies PET blow moulding, filling, capping and labelling equipment from its catalogue, which can form part of a water bottling configuration. Rolangear also publishes a bottled water factory feasibility study and guides comparing sachet and bottled water production, which are linked below.

Proceso de producción

  1. Source Water Intake

Source water is drawn and tested to establish the treatment required.

  2. Water Treatment

Filtration, reverse osmosis and disinfection bring the water to potable standard.

  3. Treated Water Storage

Treated water is held in storage tanks ahead of filling.

  4. Bottle Blowing

Where bottles are produced in-house, PET preforms are blown into finished bottles.

  5. Rinsing, Filling and Capping

Bottles are rinsed, filled and capped, normally on a combined monoblock.

  6. Labelling and Packing

Labels are applied and bottles are shrink wrapped and packed.

Propuesta técnica

You receive a written technical proposal covering configuration and scope.

A drinking water plant is normally configured from the following equipment groups. The exact configuration depends on your source water and packaging format.

  • Water treatment — filtration, reverse osmosis and disinfection matched to the source water and local requirements.
  • Storage — treated water storage tanks.
  • Bottle production — PET blow moulding where bottles are formed in-house.
  • Rinsing, filling and capping — normally a combined monoblock for water.
  • Labelling — round-bottle or sleeve labelling.
  • Sachet filling — where sachet water is produced instead of bottles.
  • Secondary packaging — shrink wrapping and packing.

Rolangear specifies and sources the treatment equipment as part of a project configuration. Blow moulding, filling, capping and labelling equipment is available from the Rolangear catalogue.

Requisitos de fábrica

A water plant requires a hygienic production area with the treatment plant separated from the filling hall. A reliable source water supply is required, and the treatment configuration depends on its quality. Floor space is needed for treatment, storage tanks, the bottling line in sequence, and preform and finished goods storage. Local regulatory requirements for drinking water production apply and should be established early.
