Plastics & Extrusion

WPC Door & Panel Production Line

WPC extrusion equipment for wood plastic composite door, panel and profile manufacturing. Rolangear supplies the mixing, extrusion, calibration and cutting equipment a WPC line requires, and supports installation, commissioning and operator training.

WPC Door & Panel Production Line

What you can produce

  • WPC door panels
  • WPC wall panels
  • WPC profiles
  • WPC boards

WPC — wood plastic composite — is produced by mixing wood flour with a plastic polymer and additives, then extruding the compound into a profile. The result is a board or profile that can be machined like wood but resists moisture, which is why it is widely used for door panels, wall panels and interior profiles.

Rolangear supplies WPC extrusion equipment, including WPC pipe and profile production line equipment. The process shares its core stages with other plastic extrusion routes, so the supporting extrusion, cutting and handling equipment in the Rolangear catalogue applies here as well.

This suits door and panel manufacturers, and building product businesses producing WPC profiles for their local construction market. WPC is often chosen where solid timber is expensive or where moisture resistance matters.

Rolangear plans the line around your profile specification and target output, specifies the equipment, supplies it, and supports installation, commissioning and operator training. Scope is confirmed per project in a written technical proposal.

Production process

  1. Raw Material Preparation

Plastic granules and any additives or masterbatch are prepared to the required formula.

  2. Mixing and Formula Preparation

Materials are mixed to the WPC formula.

  3. Extrusion Forming

The compound is extruded through a die to form the profile.

  4. Calibration and Cooling

Vacuum calibration holds the profile dimensions while it is cooled.

  5. Cutting and Sizing

The continuous profile is cut to finished length.

Equipment in this production line

2 items

A WPC line is normally built from the following equipment groups:

  • Mixing — high-speed mixing of wood flour, polymer and additives to the required formula.
  • Extrusion — a twin-screw or conical extruder compounds and forms the profile.
  • Calibration and cooling — vacuum calibration holds the profile dimension while it cools.
  • Haul-off and cutting — the profile is drawn through the line and cut to length.
  • Surface finishing — embossing or sanding where the finished product requires it.

Factory requirements

A WPC line requires a long, clear run of factory floor for the extruder, calibration table, haul-off and cutting in sequence, plus raw material and finished profile storage. Cooling water and three-phase electrical supply are required; specific requirements depend on the equipment selected and are confirmed in the technical proposal.
